SO MANY SLAB OPTIONS! I loveeee slab climbing so thank you ASCEND! My rental shoes + chalk were slightly damaged but that’s what I get for not bringing my own gear haha. This location is 10x better than the gym in station square. If you’re choosing between the two, go here. Belay + bouldering make it more diverse. Everything about ascend is amazing. Only issue is if you go at a busy time parking will definitely be difficult to find, but you can make it work. Thanks Ascend South Side! You rock!

I highly recommend Ascend South Side to all parents! What a great way to kick off summer break! A chance to exercise, learn a new sport, build confidence and technique, and make new friends! The instructors are very knowledgeable and engaging! My son cannot stop talking about how great of a time he is having every day at this state of the art facility!

Climbed until my arms gave up, attempted yoga to recover, and rewarded myself with the brewery downstairs. Ascend has a great mix of challenging routes, helpful staff, and a really fun community. Whether you’re learning to climb or just there for a good time, it’s a great spot.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had my first-ever rock climbing experience at Ascend Rock Climbing Gym, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in detail, which really put me at ease as a beginner. The gym is impressively spacious with plenty of storage for personal items. I loved that they offer more than just climbing—there’s a full gym area with weights and cardio equipment, as well as group fitness classes, making it a great spot for cross-training. The variety of climbing walls is fantastic! Whether you’re a complete beginner like me or an experienced climber, they have routes for every skill level, allowing you to challenge yourself at your own pace. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend for anyone looking to try rock climbing or even just to enjoy a great workout in a supportive environment.
