  Came here to introduce my 10 year old son to climbing. I was a little skeptical due to some of the recent reviews about bad experiences with staff but my son and I were treated very well. Both guys at the front desk were professional, informative and just nice. My son had a great first experience and wants to continue with climbing and I’m sure having a good first experience helped with that. Thank you.

  Came here couple months ago, but didn't know I needed a reservation for a first timer class. Finally went back today and signed the waiver online and an online orientation a while back. Bought the pass from Groupon. I did the belay course. There's a separate bouldering course you'd need to use the regular freestyle bouldering I believe. The lesson was straightforward and you can use the course at your own pace. There's parking around the building and street parking available. Coming here with friends or family would be fun.

  Great for second visit and so on but the first visit was very confusing. The front desk just sat there chatting to one another and did the bare minimum for first timers to sign the waiver and that’s it. Nothing was explained about logistics of membership and stuff. The intro class was great though and it has everything you need about climbing. After the first time at Hangar, you basically know what to do. This gym is relatively new and clean. Can’t deny it’s a great environment for climbing. Just that the customer service is not beginner friendly at all, otherwise if you just go there and climb, it’s a good gym.

  Rude staff who can't handle a simple question. A little context, I am 15 years old and have been climbing here for around 2 months. Today when me and my friends came, they said we were not allowed in due to us being below 16 years old and not having a guardian or adult present with us while being extremely rude. Any other time we have been here, around 3 times a week since late March, they never batted an eye or said anything. When we asked to cancel our memberships they refused to let us as we did not have our parents with us, I asked if I could cancel online to which they said no. This did not make sense to me as you are able to sign up online but not able to cancel online? When I asked about this to the desk staff present he looked at me as if I was an idiot and then walked away. Other than the terrible staff, the gym itself is not well maintained. It seems to lack any sort of ventilation or air conditioning and the greasy holds don't make the experience any better. The pads are also stiff which caused someone to get injured 2 days prior to this review. This made us suspect they started enforcing this rule due to the person who fell which seems nonsensical as the person who fell was a full grown adult. Overall, disrespectful staff, mediocre gym, and inconsistent rules. Some of the staff are chill though and the community is friendly.
