  Been climbing here for 3 years; community events used to be awesome but recently there hasn’t been any heart left in their meetups. Gym management is terrible. I love climbing but sense of community at my gym has to be there. I transferred to Class 5 in Torrance. No regrets. Touchstone has a much stronger community - more diverse and much more welcoming

  Very nice climbing gym. Have a lot top rope climbing and leading routes. Also it has 2 big area about bouldering and training.

  Alrighty, I’ve been here 5+ years, so I think that’s enough of time for a review. Community and people running the gym are amazing. From bouldering league to the meetups to the random couches that appeared this week, I can officially and still somewhat biasedly say this gym is top tier! Luke, Marisa, Seth, Scott, so many others I know by face (I’m sorry I’m bad with names) have all been so gracious with returning my lost phone, purse, shoes, even climbing bag, you name it over the years that I know I walk in sheepishly and they’re like “what did you lose” and help me go find it or look for it at the lost and found. It’s a great place for kids and people to learn about rock climbing. Thanks Sender One! Thanks for still allowing meetups like Ladies Climbing Coalition *shameless plug.* My few asks would be to get a coffee bar (I know tall ask with space) and more night climbing events, which are a fun way to introduce this activity to non climbers.

  Update: Let me add a positive note that the staff is great when you speak to them. They have a passion for the sport. It was frustrating in a specific instance of working through their phone tree / call in system to get a person on the line but overall very good. Old: Quite good. But arranging to bring kids again for Sender City space has been a pain. We came last Sunday at the time slot they state is a one hour slot for Sender City on Sundays. But they had no employee to supervise and so they stated slot was cancelled. Not good. Additional to that they said call first next time you come to ensure slot they state will be available is actually available — we called just 55 min ago. After rigmarole with getting through to a real person there was no real person and I got a machine. Left VM. No call back yet. This was when we brought 7 people to a slot last week and are poised to come again to make this work. Not great service. But nice people when you get them on the line!
