  I had such a great time with my family doing the via ferrata. The guides are very nice and knowledgeable and you get a thorough orientation before starting, so if its your first time, you got nothing to worry about! What I loved the most is that you're free to start and try any of the first 3 courses in no specific order. We did section 2 first, then 1 and ended with the 3rd. We had a blast. No one is rushing you and you get to enjoy nature and the beautiful course at your own pace.

  Via ferrata! If you are anywhere near Kentucky, you have to do this! It is a challenge, but you don’t have to be in perfect shape to have an amazing experience. My sister and I (ages 54 and 57) spent about 4.5 hours here and it will be remembered as the highlight of a truly wonderful trip to RRG. Southeast Mountain Guides is a fantastic business. We were the only two guests on the day we were there but we never felt rushed to finish, in fact, our guide encouraged us to continue on to one more course when we weren’t confident in our abilities and he gave us some great pointers that allowed us to finish the intermediate run. I cannot say enough positive things about this business. If you want an experience you will never forget, add the via ferrata to your vacation plans!!

  As an inexperienced climber, I am thrilled with the my via ferrata experience! The course design is excellent; a well crafted escalation in difficulty. The orientation process was smooth and concise, leaving me feeling well informed to tackle the course as a new climber. My instructor/guide (I believe their name is Bre) was incredible at guiding me through what to expect, and making the adventure one of the most fun activities I’ve done all year. She was amazing! They helped make this an inspiring experience. Would love to do this again, and has given me the bug to climb more. It helps that the surrounding area is GORGEOUS. Would recommend this to any inexperienced climber.

  My wife and I climbed here on a Thursday in mid March. We had the place to ourselves. Our guide, Nick, was super helpful and kept us safe. This was the highlight of our outdoor adventures in Kentucky! We absolutely loved it. The last section was too much for me because my arms were shot, but my wife conquered it and couldn't be more proud of her!
